Asolo Fugitive GTX-
The Asolo Fugitive GTX tries very hard to be a mountaineering boot. In many regards this boot succeeds at this. On trips up Mt Adams, Mt Baker, and Mt Hood this waterproof boot took to the challenge with universal crampons and did the job. Good amount of insulation and just enough rigidity to hold strong while traversing almost vertical walls. Not the boot for high mountaineering, but works well for those climbing to around 14k. Great fit, very comfortable and break-in-time around 40 miles. If you are looking for a good all-purpose boot this may be the one for you.
New to the Chris Sharma series from Evolv. Synthetic forefoot with a leather mid to rear. Microfiber lining with elastic instep Velcro. This climbing shoe ushers in a new era of ultra-performance in climbing footwear. Fantastic for a transition shoe from indoor to outdoor climbing. Don’t forget to scuff them up a little before the first climb.
This climbing shoe climbs like a spider monkey. There is no stopping the climbing progression with this amazing Velcro climbing shoe. Designed for 5.10- 5.15 and beyond. After my first indoor climb with these shoes I was impressed with the easy on/off capability. Designed with the Stealth C4 toe, this shoe can take you anywhere.
