Patagonia Down Sweater 800fill-

This down sweater is deceptive in the best way.  Packs down to a fist size, yet put it on and you feel instant heat.  This piece does exactly what a lightweight layering piece should do.  With an 800-fill down and 22-denier (recycled) polyester shell fabric.  Light enough that I won’t hesitate to take this on high mountain spring and summer trips, and warm enough that it will find its way into my pack for those deep cold winter trips.  Slim fit design helps when wearing your climbing harness.  This piece should be a fan favorite with a price point of 200$.

Patagonia R1 Pullover-

The Patagonia R1 pullover features long arms with thumb loops, and an extended hem for tucking the fleece into your pants or a harness. This could be one of Patagonia's single best product.  Slim fit helps with your alpine layering and this product can be easily worn on and of the trail.

Smartwool Midweight Crew-

This piece can be worn for such a wide range of adventures, including trips to the grocery store or dinner with friends.  On the trail this piece does a great job with moisture management in cold or warm weather.  I have had nothing but great things to say about this product and have worn smartwool for the last couple years.  Merino wool from New Zealand helps with an active antimicrobial that helps with scent and moisture control.  Be ready to ware this layer on multiple day trips without the need to wash.
